STL TO EDITABLE CAD / PROJECT INQUIRIES
Your part.
Your next change.
Request a new mechanical CAD model built around the dimensions you need to change. Start with a bracket, adapter, enclosure, or cover and one clear modification.
Request a project review ↗Feasibility, supported format, quote, and timing confirmed first.
WHEN A REBUILD MAKES SENSE
Build around the edit.
If a converted body can make your required cut or hole change, it may be sufficient. A rebuild becomes useful when several related dimensions need to stay controllable or the converted geometry remains difficult to work with.
The new model is reconstructed from your mesh and references. It does not recover the original designer’s hidden modelling history.

Tell us what matters.
- The part and modification you need
- Known units and critical measurements
- Your CAD application and version
- Features that must be preserved
- How you intend to use the result
You can submit an inquiry without uploading a file. A suitable sharing method can be agreed during review.
AGREE THE DELIVERABLES
A handover you can check.
The scope should name the native format, requested modification, agreed checks, and revision allowance before modelling starts.
Native CAD source
A supported project format with the agreed dimension controls. Compatibility is confirmed for your application.
STEP and STL exports
Files for sharing the geometry and printing the updated part, with units and scale confirmed.
Requested change
A named modification demonstrated in the delivered project, such as a hole diameter or mounting spacing.
Agreed checks
Reopen the model, compare critical dimensions, and demonstrate the intended edit before accepting the handover.
SCOPE BEFORE PRICE
First, a useful review.
Project inquiries are open. Every rebuild needs a feasibility check and a fixed scope; this website does not take payments or begin modelling automatically.
What affects the quote?
Part complexity, mesh quality, missing dimensions, requested modifications, accuracy requirements, and the native CAD format. Price and timing are agreed after review.
Can any shape be rebuilt?
Some parts need substantial surface modelling or additional measurements. The initial focus is simple mechanical parts. Feasibility and available expertise must be confirmed for your project.
Is a native CAD file always necessary?
No. A STEP body can be edited in many CAD applications. Choose the deliverable for the changes you expect to make; a native parametric rebuild is useful when its specific dimension controls save future work.
